Welcome to Monelison
Volunteer Fire Department. We are part of the Monelison Volunteer
Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. This corporation is a non-profit
501(c)(3) organization.
I invite you to browse around our new website. We have tried to
make it very user friendly. It is still a work in progress. If
you have any comments or questions, please contact the webmaster.
The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department is an all hazards, 100%
volunteer department that serves the southern portion of Amherst
County, VA. We operate within the Amherst County public safety
system.
Our members are your neighbors, friends, co-workers and fellow
citizens. They spend countless hours away from family and friends
responding to calls and conducting department business and training.
The fire service is rich in tradition and based around "brotherhood"
and comradery. If you are interested in becoming part of this
tradition, contact us.
Thank you,
Richard Hunter
Fire Chief
