Equipment Tidbits |
- Tanker 1 was purchased primarily for our rural coverage areas.
- Brush 1 and Squad 6 were designed to be placed side-by-side.
- MVFD has ordered a New Pierce Impel (Rescue Pumper) with a 750
Gallon tank and 40 Gallon CAF system. This is scheduled to be
completed October 2010.
- MVFD, MVRS & Public Safety went in together to purchase
and combine Squad 6 and Rescue 47 into one truck. This new truck
was purcahsed from Lynchburg Life Saving Crew. The pictures are
soon to come.

Engine
5 is our reserve engine and our oldest engine. It is the first apparatus
purchased by the department. Housed at Station 3 is the 1960 Oren
