Since 1959 The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department has proudly had many dedicated Men and Woman serve our department. Through this dedication and commitment by our past members and present members we are very proud to remain 100% VOLUNTEER. We still live by the commitment that was set by our Beginning Members which is to serve and protect all the citizens of Amherst County by saving and conserving life and property. This commitment has enabled our department to save each taxpayer and our county millions of dollars a year. The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department would like to dedicate this page to our HONORARY MEMBERS that have served this department and county proudly in the past. Without the commitmemt that each one of these individuals chose to make the department would not be what it is today (100% VOLUNTEER). We honor these members that are alive today and memoralize those that have passed into the new life. Thanks for your service!
